Generations and Future State: Connections to Death Metal and....Doomsday Clock? ( November 2020)

 These are some of my thoughts form when Future State was first announced. Very interesting that it and Generations kind of fulfilled some of Doomsday Clock's predictions, but in a different way.

Some thoughts I had when Generations and Future State were announced.

  • The 2 Generations one-shots were originally connected to Future State, but now apparently aren't. But both are set up by Death Metal which in itself foreshadows the pasts realities being made known.

  • The Generations Shattered solicit called Earth 0 as both the newest and oldest universe in the Multiverse. That and the use of older versions of main continuity line up with the ever renewing nature of the Metaverse.

  • Doomsday Clock originally foretold of a Time Masters Crisis that would end 5G, allowing that iteration of the Metaverse to exist on a different universe like always. This could be what'll happen, except now 5G is Future State, Time Masters is Generations and things are reversed in months instead of years.

  • If ever Tynion or anyone else wants to use elements of 3 Jokers and officially canonize it into continuity, but DON'T want to have the premise be real, the Metaverse and timeline antics can be easily used as an excuse.

  • The international crisis that Clark would get involved with in the future awfully sounds like it could be the metahuman arms race and the huge international events brought about by the Supermen Theory, which Bendis hinted at way back.

  • The anti-vigilante sentiment seen in the current batbooks parallel to what Doomsday Clock originally alluded to.

Superman (2025) Comic Book Inspirations and Theories for the Sequel

3 years ago... ... I wrote a post on the comics that influenced The Batman , and shared my thoughts on the film and theories for the future. So, I figured, why not make a post on the film just like that one! I will be focusing mainly on comic books, though of course I will do my best to shout out films and TV shows when appropriate, all while integrating my thoughts and theories as I go. Three Jokers: Post-Issue Theories Posts (August - November 2020)

These three posts right here are probably the biggest things I've done. I don't want to spend too much time commenting on it here since I already have a lot in the posts themselves. I talk about my theories, my analysis of the story and characters and the background of why and how I did this here already.  As of now, the third and final post is still the most awarded post I've ever made.  My opinion on the book overall remains the same. Some parts I've definitely grown to defend or tolerate less, but the best parts I stand by on. The experience was overall a fun one, acting like Batman figuring this mystery out, even if we admittedly don't get that answer here. The simplest one that canon will likely go with, which I mention briefly and in comments, was that the other Jokers were faked, and one that Jason Fabok has said is his personal interpretation.
